TANROK is the Association of Tanzanians living in the Republic of Korea, with the main purpose of bringing together all Tanzanians so that they can cooperate in various social matters here in South Korea and at home in Tanzania. Ref here
To become a member of TANROK, you are required to contact one of the leaders
of TANROK who would verify your information as per the conditions that must be met
to acquire membership before being added to one of our communication platforms
(currently the WhatsApp chatting group).
The main differences between a member and an active member are that
an active member follows and performs the duties as described in the updated
TANROK constitution, such as paying the membership fee and attending major events.
Elections to select new leaders are held once a year in December. Active
members are allowed to vote independently to choose their leaders for the available positions.
- There are 4 positions available: chairman, secretary general, excom chair, and treasurer. Zone leaders are elected by members in each respective zone.
- Zone leaders will be elected by zone members respectively.
As of the year 2024, the membership fee is set at 30,000 KRW per year.
